Three Idiots-The 2009 release Bollywood movie is based on comedy, romance, drama genre. The movie is directed by Raj Kumar Hirani and is inspired by Chetan Bhagat’s novel Five Point Someone. The movie features Aamir Khan, R.Madhavan, Sharman Joshi as an engineering student and Boman Irani as a strict Principal of the Enginnering College and Kareena Kapoor as a medical student. The movie is about the Engineering life and the problems, traumas and fun, the â€Å"three idiots† have during their engineering life. The movie was very informative that it has been awarded with 25 wins and 13 nominations (â€Å"3 Idiots Awards†). The movie pictures the parents in most South Asian countries pressurizing their child to either be a doctor or an engineer, a child killing one’s wills and dreams to stand on parent’s expectations, and never getting to live their dreams. We can clearly see this in the movie as the character Farhan says,† I am scared that my father won’t allow me to be a photographer†, when talking about his passion for photography with his two friends. But the story of the movie is not so depressing as Rancho replies† Follow your dreams. Don’t study something that you know you are bad at and follow your passion† as he convinces Farhan to follow his passion towards photography. All the different characters have different story arcs that lead them to an understanding of chasing their dreams rather than running after good grades and confining themselves within the four walls of traditional mugging up style of learning. The story of the movie is very inspirational, it makes the audience visualize themselves as the fourth idiot.
